Rev. Dr. Carla Ryan was living the Science of Mind principles long before she was aware of the philosophy or terminology on that first Sunday morning in 1993. Eventually she became an ordained Religious Science Minister and had the privilege of leading two Religious Science Churches; one in Parker, CO and the other in Pagosa Springs, CO. While her spiritual beliefs are based in the New Thought realm, she continues to evolve with an interest in Interfaith studies and dialogue.
While living in Grand Junction, Colorado, she did volunteer work with the Grand Valley Interfaith Network (GVIN). This experience deepened her interest in Interfaith studies and allowed her to connect with local faith leaders, which resulted as an example of how various religious organizations can work together for the good of a community.
Dr. Carla’s ministry continues to evolve. Teaching is her passion, especially when it comes to the New Thought philosophy. These days, she leans toward more of an omnism perspective. Various Interfaith projects and dialogue only deepen the wider roots of Consciousness.
One project involves sacred architecture and its impact on religious rituals through the centuries and many faiths, and into the New Thought movement… with the intent to create a reference book on this topic. Also, Dr. Carla has interest in developing a workshop (for women) about her method/practice of healing trauma (domestic violence) through narrative writing and other art forms. Clearly, Spiritual inspiration is present and expanding.
